The fact is, I haven’t been quiet (when have you ever known me to be?), I’ve just been publishing elsewhere!
So I thought I should maybe start just listing some of the pieces from this year? To at least provide some more recent content! There isn’t a tonne, because I made 2016-2017 my “year to say no” while I was pregnant, working full-time and beginning my MA in Native Studies.
Obviously, the first place I’d like to point you is to my book, Indigenous Writes : A Guide to First Nations, Métis & Inuit in Canada.
NOVEMBER

Thanks for this. I promoted your book last night in Ottawa (ours was the last session of the Festival, yours the first) and I saw quite a few copies scooped up.
Wonderful reading. Fascinating podcast on Star Trek.
seen two of these already, but would never have thought to check at “Today’s Parent”
*raised eyebrows* *big surprise* … parenting changes so much in our lives.
I mean…it sort of makes sense, since parenting is always on my mind these days. Voices like mine aren’t usually included though so it is surprising. I’ll be more surprised when a visibly Native parent is invited to pen a piece.
Any plans for more podcasts in 2018?
Absolutely! We’re still doing Métis in Space, and might find time for other projects as well!
